HOW WE ROLL

Listen, Listen!

I figured I'd start the "what we're listening to" segment.  January has been a good month, not only for what I've actually been listening to but also for finding out what's going to be released this spring (aka what I'll be listening to soon).  But as for right now:

#1: Lately, I've been hurled back into my love for The Bouncing Souls with the release of their latest track "Gasoline".  For those that aren't familiar with the Bouncing Souls, they've been around for twenty years now and have released, I believe, 6 albums.  In 2009, however, they are going the unconventional route.  Instead of releasing a whole album, they have decided to release a new song every month of the year, making a total of 12.  "Gasoline" was January's song and I think it may be one of the best songs the Souls have ever released.  You can check it out here.

#2: I've been in love with Fake Problems for the last two years since I saw them open for Against Me! back in early 2007.  I've managed to see them a few times since then and continue to collect everything that they put out.  Their recent signing to Side One Dummy gave us a date for their new record "It's Great to Be Alive", February 17th.  But the internet gave me one more reason for why I love it so much, music leaking and file sharing!  The new record leaked back in the middle of December and I've been in love with it since the first note hit my ear.  It is the best and most mature outing from the young band, and this won't be the last you hear of them. You can listen to it here.
